1. Who we are
toolgrep (https://toolgrep.com, its JSON API and its MCP server at https://toolgrep.com/mcp) is operated by Yuncedria Technologies Inc.("we", "us"). You can reach us at info@toolgrep.com.
These terms apply when you use any part of toolgrep. If you do not agree with them, do not use the service. How we handle personal data is described in the privacy notice.
2. What toolgrep is
toolgrep is a directory of software products that people and AI agents can search. Listings are created automatically: our crawler (toolgrep-bot) reads a product's public web pages and an AI model extracts facts such as pricing, free tier, API, MCP and SDK support. Each listing shows a confidence score and when it was last checked. Verified owners can correct their listing.
Listings can be incomplete, out of date or wrong. They are information, not advice or an endorsement. Check with the vendor before you rely on a fact, especially prices and terms.
Lists without a search (category pages, the home page, the API without a query) are ordered by a score built from whether the owner has verified the listing, how complete it is, the confidence of the extraction, whether the product has an API or MCP server, and whether the facts came from the AI model rather than the simpler fallback; ties go to the newest listing. Searches are ordered by relevance, combining keyword and semantic matches. Paying for Pro never changes either order, and the sponsored slot on category pages is labelled as such.
3. Using toolgrep
Searching and reading listings on the website, the API and the MCP server is free and needs no account or key. Do not:
- try to disrupt, overload or get around the limits of the service (for example the limit on submissions per address);
- try to access the admin area, another person's listing dashboard or anything else you are not entitled to;
- submit or upload content that is unlawful, infringes someone else's rights or is meant to mislead.
We may block traffic or remove content that breaks these rules.
4. Submitting a product
Anyone can submit the public website of a software product. We decide what is listed and may decline, hide or remove any listing. Sites that host many unrelated projects (for example github.com or npmjs.com) are not accepted; submit the project's own website instead. If you add an email address and your submission creates the listing, we email you when it goes live (see the privacy notice).
5. Claiming a listing
You may claim a listing only if you control its domain. You prove that with a DNS TXT record, a file at /.well-known/toolgrep.txt, a meta tag on the homepage or a link sent to an address on the domain. There are no passwords: control lasts while the signed session cookie in your browser is valid (90 days), and you can verify again at any time. Verifying a listing that someone else has claimed transfers it to you. We may remove an owner's control of a listing, for example when ownership is disputed or these terms are broken; that also removes their contact email, stats API key and notes for agents from the listing.
6. Content you provide
As an owner you can edit the listing's fields and, on Pro, write notes for agents (integration steps, MCP endpoint, SDK links, FAQ and extra pages for the crawler). Your edits are kept when the site is crawled again. Notes for agents are served word for word over the API and MCP and are shown as written by the owner, not as facts checked by toolgrep.
You are responsible for that content: it must be accurate, lawful and yours to publish. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to store, display and serve it through the website, the API and the MCP server for as long as it is on toolgrep. We may hide or remove content that breaks these terms.
7. Pro
- Pro is bought per listing, monthly or yearly, at the prices on the pricing page and shown again at checkout.
- Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. The subscription renews automatically until you cancel it.
- You can cancel at any time from the billing portal linked on the listing's dashboard, or by emailing info@toolgrep.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for; Pro features stop when the subscription ends.
- If we remove your control of a listing, its subscription stops renewing and ends at the end of the period you have paid for. If we delete a listing, its subscription is cancelled at once; to ask about a refund, email info@toolgrep.com. If someone else verifies the listing, your subscription keeps renewing until you cancel it by emailing info@toolgrep.com.
- What Pro includes is described on the pricing page. We may change Pro features; paying never affects ranking.
8. Corrections and removal
How to correct a listing, have it removed or send a copyright or other legal complaint is explained on the corrections & takedowns page.
9. Availability and changes
We try to keep toolgrep available and accurate but do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or stop any part of the service. We may update these terms; the current version is always on this page.
10. Liability
toolgrep is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for decisions made on the basis of a listing or for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
