Listings on toolgrep are generated automatically from public websites, so some will be wrong. There are three ways to fix or remove one, depending on who you are.
1. Anyone: report a problem
Every listing has a Report a problem link (https://toolgrep.com/p/<listing>/report). Choose one of:
- Information is outdated: the site is crawled again straight away (at most once an hour per listing).
- Information is wrong or This listing should be removed: the report is recorded and sent to toolgrep's administrator, and a person reviews it (see section 4).
Details (up to 1,000 characters) and your email address are optional; give an address if you want a reply. Only toolgrep staff see your address. If the listing has been claimed and its owner has set a contact email, the owner is also told about "wrong" and "removal" reports, with the details you wrote but not the address from the email field. AI agents can flag an outdated listing with the MCP tool report_outdated.
2. Product owners: claim and fix it yourself
The fastest route. If the listing has not been claimed yet, open it and choose Your product? Claim this listing. Once a listing is claimed that link is no longer shown, but the claim page at https://toolgrep.com/claim/<listing> still works, and verifying there transfers the listing from its current owner to you. Prove you control the domain with any one of: a DNS TXT record at _toolgrep.<your domain>, a file at /.well-known/toolgrep.txt, a toolgrep-verify meta tag on your homepage, or a link sent to an address on your domain. From the listing's dashboard you can then:
- correct any field (your edits are kept when the site is crawled again);
- re-crawl the site;
- hide the listing with one click. A hidden listing leaves search, the API, the MCP server, the sitemap and llms.txt, and its page returns "not found". You can show it again at any time, unless toolgrep hid it (see section 4).
To stop toolgrep crawling your site, add User-agent: toolgrep-bot with Disallow: / to your robots.txt (see toolgrep-bot). While the block is in place the site cannot be listed, and an existing listing drops out of search and MCP after three failed re-crawls in a row, which can take a few weeks. Claim and hide the listing, or send a removal request, if you need it gone sooner.
3. Copyright and other legal complaints
A listing contains product facts and short descriptions written by an AI model from the product's public pages, links to the product's site and, for claimed listings, text supplied by the owner. If you believe a listing infringes your copyright or other rights, or contains personal data about you, use This listing should be removed on the report form or email info@toolgrep.com. Please include:
- the listing's URL and exactly which content you object to;
- why: for copyright, the work you own and where it appears; for other complaints, the right or law concerned;
- your name, an email address for our reply, and whether you are the rights holder or acting for them;
- a statement that the information in your complaint is accurate and that you are entitled to make it.
4. How we handle requests
A person reviews every "wrong" and "removal" report (in toolgrep's admin area) and every request sent by email. Depending on the case we:
- crawl the site again so the listing is rebuilt from the current pages;
- hide the listing. A listing toolgrep hides stays hidden: its owner cannot show it again, and later crawls do not change that;
- delete the listing entirely, with its crawl history, reports and statistics;
- remove the current owner's control of the listing, for example when ownership is disputed;
- or keep the listing as it is, and tell you why if you gave a way to reach you.
We may contact the listing's owner about the request. A deleted listing can be submitted again by anyone; blocking toolgrep-bot in robots.txt prevents that. If your listing was hidden or removed and you think that was a mistake, email info@toolgrep.com.
