withHuman intercepts AI agents' tool calls and holds consequential ones for human approval. It provides approval pipelines with rule-based auto-approval or denial, an AI judge, webhook policy blocks, escalation paths to route requests to teams or on-call reviewers, notifications via Slack, Discord, email, SMS, WhatsApp and mobile apps, and an append-only audit log. Agents integrate via the open Agent Approval Protocol (AAP), with SDKs for LangGraph, CrewAI, Mastra, Pydantic AI, OpenAI Agents, Claude Agent SDK, Google ADK, AI SDK and an HTTP API, plus hooks for coding agents like Claude Code and Codex and an MCP gateway. The core (queue, audit trail, web UI) is open source and self-hostable.
