Valmera is a browser-based AI video editor. Users upload footage (MP4, MOV, M4V, MKV, WebM up to 100 GB and 3 hours) and describe the edit in plain English; an AI agent indexes the video with a word-level transcript, shot changes and silences, then performs cuts, silence and filler-word removal, word-timed burned-in captions, reframing to 9:16 or other aspect ratios, b-roll, music, sound effects, color grading and zooms. Every change writes a new version of a non-destructive edit decision list and the agent renders and checks a preview before the user exports a full-resolution H.264 MP4 from the original file. Valmera also runs a hosted MCP server (https://valmera.io/mcp/server, Streamable HTTP, OAuth 2.1) with 143 tools so assistants like Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and Codex can drive the same editing tools. Editing requires a paid subscription; account creation and uploads are free.
