OpenRouter provides one OpenAI-compatible API endpoint that gives access to hundreds of AI models from many providers, including text, image, video, speech-to-text, and text-to-speech models. Requests are sent to a single endpoint with a model slug, and the platform handles automatic fallbacks around provider outages and rate limits. Pricing is pay-as-you-go per token at the provider's list price, with a platform fee charged on credit purchases (5.5% on Standard, 8% on Business). Plans include Free, Standard, Business, and Enterprise, with features such as BYOK, in-region EU/US routing, workspaces, spend controls, and SSO on higher tiers.
