Openings by Avagama Consulting is a free job search tool that indexes job postings read directly from employers' own careers sites and applicant tracking systems (Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday, SmartRecruiters, Workable, and others), with no aggregator or recruiter listings. It exposes read-only MCP tools (prepare_job_search, get_job_coverage, search_jobs, recommend_jobs, analyze_job_fit, optimize_resume, get_job) that rank roles against a resume with quoted evidence; resumes are processed in memory and not stored, and the tools cannot submit applications. It can be added as a remote MCP connector to Claude, ChatGPT (developer mode), Claude Code, Codex CLI, Cursor, VS Code with Copilot, and Gemini CLI, or run locally via the MIT-licensed npm package `openings` on Bun. As of 21 September 2026 it reported 469,607 live roles from 4,638 employers across 226 countries.
