Healthchecks.io is a dead man's switch service for monitoring cron jobs, background workers, and scheduled tasks. Jobs send HTTP pings to unique ping URLs, and the service sends alerts via email, webhooks, Slack, PagerDuty, SMS, and other integrations when a ping doesn't arrive within the configured period and grace time. Supports cron expressions, start/failure signals, log history, status badges, projects with team access, a pinging and management API, and self-hosting via Docker.
