HALLUX
A registry of package and identifier names that do not exist but that language models invent, with a check API to query before installation.
HALLUX is an identifier verification API by BlvkWare. It checks package names against authoritative registries and a ledger of names that models repeatedly hallucinate, returning one of six verdicts: exists, deprecated, absent, phantom, squat, or unknown. A name becomes a phantom after ten attestations from at least two model families with absence confirmed twice at least 24 hours apart. Coverage spans 7 namespaces (PyPI, npm, crates.io, Go, Maven, NuGet, DOI). It offers a single-lookup GET endpoint, a batch endpoint for up to 100 identifiers, an Ed25519-signed receipt on paid tiers, and an MCP server at https://api.blvkware.dev/hallux/mcp with tools including hallux_check_command, hallux_check_manifest, and hallux_check. Billing is based on identifiers submitted, not verdicts returned.
