Currencylayer is a REST API delivering real-time and historical foreign exchange rates for 168 world currencies and precious metals (including XAU and XAG), sourced from commercial providers and banks, with historical data back to 1999. Endpoints include Live, Historical, Convert, Timeframe, Change, and a currency List. Rates are returned as currency pairs in JSON with JSONP, HTTP ETags, and CORS support. Update frequency depends on plan: daily (Free), 60 minutes (Basic), 10 minutes (Enterprise), 60 seconds (Enterprise+). Part of the APILayer suite.
