Carbone is a document generation and conversion engine and API. It merges JSON data with templates designed in common editors (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, LibreOffice, Google Docs, OnlyOffice, HTML, Markdown) and renders output in 100+ formats. Deployment options include a managed cloud REST API (EU-hosted), self-hosting via Docker or native binaries, AWS deployment, and an open-source Node.js library. It also provides an official MCP server and a Carbone Skill for AI assistant integration.
