Open-source visual regression testing for Playwright, Storybook, Vitest and Cypress

Argos is an open-source visual testing platform. Tests capture screenshots in CI, Argos compares them against a baseline, and changes are reviewed on pull requests. It supports deterministic pixel diffs of screenshots, text diffs of files such as Markdown, JSON, YAML and HTML, ARIA snapshot diffing, flaky test detection, Playwright trace debugging, and preview deployments of Storybook or static builds per pull request. It integrates with GitHub, GitLab, Slack, Microsoft Teams and Discord, and is usable by AI agents via CLI, REST API and an MCP server.
